Escape to paradise! This 2 bedroom suite provides the amenities & comforts of home, yet makes you feel a world away. Situated between Wood & Kalamalka Lake, you are a close to the newly upgraded Rail Trail & a short distance between three parks, a baseball diamond & new boat launch. Sit back & relax while enjoying the view of Wood Lake from the private patio. Feeling thirsty or getting hungry? Oyama General Store and the OKF Grill has everything to keep you content & is within walking distance.
THE SPACE: This humble home has everything you need and more, with two bedrooms and a combined sleeping capacity of 6 comfortably. The master bedroom has a queen bed with sliding glass door granting access to the private patio and view of Wood Lake. The second bedroom has a set of bunk beds and futon couch, which converts to another queen bed. This bed can be set up for your convenience if asked in advance.
The yard is fully-fenced with vehicle and boat access. Fur-babies (pets) considered.
GUEST/BEST ACCESS: Through the front door! Guests are given the access code to their private entrance at time of check-in. The front door has a coded key pad so you are free to come and go without worry of losing a loose key. Full top floor is your private space which opens onto a private 10x40 patio (a combination of covered and open). The back yard is large and fully fenced with vehicle access and ample parking for boat, utility trailer or toys.
The kitchen is completely stocked with essential tools and appliances to prepare meals during your stay, including a blender for patio cocktails!
Basic condiments are typically stocked, just in case you forgot the mustard. An assortment of teas and coffee is included.
Full patio set with comfortable dining for 6-8, full sized bbq, adirondack chairs and foot stools create an outdoor oasis for you to enjoy the lake view in comfort.
Wifi & Roku Smart TV. No cable TV.
Laundry can be available for long term stay of 1-week or more.
GUEST INTERACTION: If possible, I like to personally greet all guests but an access code will be sent before the planned arrival time. We do not live on the property but stay just a few blocks away so we are close and available if need be.
The basement suite is home to a lovely couple and full-time tenants. They both work full time so are quite often gone during the day. Travel lovers themselves, they are personable and respectful so don’t be alarmed if you cross paths. The back yard is a shared space but there is plenty of room for everyone.
ANYTHING ELSE: Beach access within a few minutes from the front steps. A sectioned off swimming area with dock right in front of home, with view from kitchen window, master bedroom and deck.
There are plenty of books, magazines, board & lawn games to enjoy during your stay.
I have stocked some children’s toys and books for respectful use.

Summary: This was our fourth summer in Oyama and our third VRBO, by far the best. We were impressed by the physical space, the location within walking distance of the beach; and the thoughtful touches that meant we felt right at home. Everything we needed was provided. We loved this space and are already planning for next year.

Summary: Great location between Wood and Kal lakes. Easy and quick access to Okanagan Lake and all amenities and wineries in the Lake Country. Nicole is an excellent and responsive host. She responded to all my questions promptly before the stay. Check-in and check-out were seamless. She even helped out with my son's iPad that we forgot in the property after check-out. This was our 2nd stay in this property and it has been renovated recently with nice hard wood floor and new kitchen. This property will for sure feature on top of our list for future stays as a family in Lake Country.

Summary: We spent two amazing weeks in Oyama. The property is well located. The balcony is fantastic for a nice breakfast and dinner. Nicole is an amazing host. Would definitely stay there again.

Summary: The house had everything I needed and was very clean. The description of VRBO is accurate and the owner was super quick to respond to my questions and very accommodating. I loved how everything I wanted to do seemed to be an easy 15 - 30 minutes away. Had amazing sleeps in the super comfy bed. It's nice to be able to watch the activity at the lake front right from the back deck. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Summary: My family stayed here for 2 weeks. We loved being soo close to the rail trail, boat launch, and beaches. We had lunch at the pizza place by gatzke’s market. Great patio with pergolas covered in grape vines. The area had everything we needed within a 1 minute drive (Fruit and Vegetable market, ice cream, restaurant, general store, burger bar). Grocery store is just a 5 minute drive to Winfield. The house had everything that we needed and more (except a toaster). The flowers on the table were nice. The Host, Nicole, was very responsive to anything we needed. The back deck was great, with shady and sunny spots. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your house with us Nicole. We all a loved it there.

Summary: The property was great with parking for our boat and ample space for our bikes. The property was well furnished with lots of seating. The kitchen had a coffee pot and some ground coffee to use upon our arrival. Thank goodness! A great bonus is they allow dogs. We really enjoyed watching the lake from the deck with both shaded and unshaded areas. It was also great to sit and watch the stars. The Rail Trail is very close and was great to ride on with lots of great places to take pictures and jump in the lake. The market and convenience store were also very good. Nicole and Jack were very responsive when contacting them and even our kids commented on how good they were. I am amazed they noticed ;) Highly recommend their property and hope to stay there again next summer. Thank you Nicole and Jack for the great experience. Martin, Debbie, Logan, Amara and Coda

Summary: From booking my to the day I left Nicole made sure my visit was comfortable. Lots if small touches in the house that made me feel at home. I stayed for 5 days without s car! Could walk to the store, fruit stand, local trails and parks

Summary: Very pretty home and very clean. Bring bikes as the rail trail is amazing. Would recommend to other families. Only improvement to suggest is air conditioning in master bedroom. Overall very lovely.
